HCG Diet Recipes Phase 1: Planning Your HCG Protocol Meals

One of the keys to being successful on any type of diet is to plan your meals out ahead of time. If you are just starting with Dr. Simeons’HCG Diet protocol, you need to be very familiar with the foods allowed on each phase of the plan. This means understanding what foods are acceptable on phase one as well as finding HCG diet recipes phase 1 approved.
It must be noted that the exact phases of the HCG protocol diet were not presented by Dr. Simeons himself in his original report. These phases were later released in other books by medical professionals who wanted to spread the word about the amazing research and results produced by Dr. Simeons.

These phases represent the HCG Diet protocol most people follow today.

HCG Diet Phase One Foods

This first phase of the HCG Diet lasts only two days. It is the shortest phase of the plan and is designed to prepare your body for phase two, which is where the weight loss happens. Most diets plans today do have an initial phase where you cleanse the body with a very strict plan, but the HCG Diet goes in the opposite direction. You are encouraged to eat whatever you want (excluding sugary foods) for two days while taking your HCG shots or drops.
HCG was given to Dr. Simeons’ original patients as a shot, but today most people use drops.
The foods you eat during these first two days should be fatty foods. You are encouraged to eat as much as you want and to include many things that you would never consider being a “diet” food. Don’t worry about what will be allowed during phase two of the diet, though you should be looking ahead to that phase and stocking your kitchen with legal foods so you are prepared.
During the first phase, your goal is simply to take your drops to get the HCG into your system and drench your body in high fat foods that you enjoy. The only rule is that you stay away from high sugar foods.
Why no sugar? Sugary foods lead to cravings for more, which will make the HCG Diet much harder to follow when you reach the more restrictive phase two.
While you enjoy all your favorite foods and enjoy the excess, start drinking at least a half gallon of water daily. You will continue that throughout the later phases of the HCG diet as well.

HCG Diet Recipes Phase 1

It is not difficult to come up with HCG Diet recipes phase 1. You can basically eat any high fat meal that you enjoy! Recipes that have a lot of cheese, butter, starches, and fatty meats are great options because they will be taken off the menu once you reach the second phase of the plan. Get your fill now and your body will be more prepared to stick with the second phase without severe sensations of hunger.
Here is one recipe that is just perfect during phase one of the plan. It is a true comfort food that will get your body prepared for the weight loss phase of the plan:
Chicken and Dumplings
1 Chicken (2.5 lb.)
3-4 celery ribs, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 can cream of celery soup (10 ¾ oz)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 t salt
Water
1. Combine first 4 ingredients into a large pot on the stove.
2. Add 16 cups of water to the pot.
3. Turn to medium heat and simmer 45 minutes, or until chicken is tender.
4. Remove chicken from the pot and separate the meat from bones and skin.
5. Put the pulled chicken meat back into the pot and add the cream of celery soup.
6. Simmer to keep the chicken and stock warm while you prepare the dumplings.
7. Mix flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
8. Mound the flour then drizzle with ¾ cup ice water, working it into the flour gradually with your h ands.
9. Roll out the dough and let it settle then cut into pieces according to the size of dumplings you want to make. 1-2 inch pieces are the norm.
10. Drop the dumplings into the pot and allow them to cook for about 4 or 5 minutes. They will pop up to the top and float when they are done.
Chicken and dumplings will thicken if you allow the pot to sit for a bit without the heat. You can then serve heaping, steaming bowls with thicker gravy, chicken and dumplings. It is the perfect way to fill your stomach with something tasty that will be off limits when you enter phase two of the Dr. Simeons HCG Diet.
